Were you traveling Belize for the month of June? This past weekend saw the culmination of both the San Pedro and Placencia Lobsterfest’s; events that drew hundreds of travelers to experience competitive cookouts, beach parties and musicians. Our team will have a recap of both festivals, including the Caye Caulker Lobsterfest which ends this Sunday, in our next blog.

While the most popular events to attend for July are the Caye Caulker Lobsterfest being held this weekend, and the “Benque Fiesta” being held in Cayo (July 14-17), most travelers are already planning to visit San Pedro in August for the annual “International Costa Maya Festival.” The 3-day festival (August 4-6), is one of the biggest events of the summer for Belize and features a wide variety of entertainment for the entire family to enjoy including cookouts, sporting competitions and marathons, beach parties and concerts featuring internationally recognized bands and artists.
